Parsippany Animal Supporters Society (P.A.S.S.)
PASS works with the Animal Welfare Association, who provides veterinary surgeons, operating room staff, and their mobile medical unit, for our Spay Day events.
The only types of surgeries done by AWA are spays and neuters. You could say they are "specialists". In 2002 they celebrated their 100,000 spay/neuter surgery and perform well over 7500 procedures each year.
PASS is pleased to provide the following free and low cost Spay Day opportunities.
The balance of the actual fees charged is subsidized by PASS through our various fundraising efforts.

February 23, 2010 - Spay Day USA
Spay Day USA takes place each year on the last Tuesday of February. Created by the Doris Day Animal League (DDAL) in 1995, Spay Day USA became a program of The HSUS when DDAL combined operations with The HSUS in 2006.
Spay Day USA is America's first and ONLY national day of action to promote the spaying or neutering of pets. During Spay Day USA's first thirteen years, participants spayed or neutered more than 1,386,000 animals!
What: An annual campaign of The Humane Society of the United States to inspire people to save animal lives by spaying or neutering pets and feral cats.
Where: Across the United States and U.S. territories.
Why: Four million cats and dogs - about one every eight seconds - are put down in U.S. shelters each year. Often these animals are the offspring of cherished family pets, even purebreds. Maybe someone's cat or dog got out just that one time or maybe the litter was intentional, but efforts to find enough good homes failed. Spay/neuter is the only permanent, 100-percent effective method of birth control for dogs and cats and a proven way to reduce the vast numbers of animals who are born only to die prematurely and without a family who loves them. Learn more about why you should spay or neuter your pet.
This is where YOU (or someone you know can) join the team -
