Why Become A Member of PASS ?
There are many great and countless reasons for becoming a member of PASS. The enjoyment of working and dealing with animals and the success of the shelters and rescue groups in placing homeless pets in new "forever" homes. They are given a second chance and it is so heartwarming to hear from their adopted "parents" about how happy they are. You also get to meet very nice people within the organization who obviously share your interest.
Depending upon your interest and time commitment, there is a long list of items you can check off on the membership application (fundraising committee, fostering, photography, caretaker, TNR) just to name just a few. We can make a difference as a team driven organization. Choose what area you are most comfortable in working on.
A Volunteer Agreement needs to be completed and signed. You have to be at least 16 years of age to work at the shelter. You can work in the cat trailer cleaning cages, foster animals or get involved with walking/socializing dogs.
As stated on the Membership Application, "You will be contacted by each appropriate chairperson to help determine where you can help and how you would like to."
