As the holidays start to wind down, like everyone, you probably got a couple of gifts that simply weren't "you". It's embarrassing to ask for a receipt to return them and a waste to not use them. This year, don't bother to find a place for them in the back of your closet or risk re-gifting them to the wrong person.
DONATE THEM TO HELP PASS HELP HOMELESS ANIMALS!
PASS always needs new, unopened and unexpired items to fill the gift baskets we make for our tricky tray fundraiser, our annual membership lunch and other fundraising events. We can use everything but fruitcakes!

Come and join us to help recognize the efforts of special people, and get a chance to meet and mingle with individuals who share the same concerns for animal welfare. What a better way to spend a Sunday afternoon as we present our 2010 Appreciation Awards.
This event is open to the public (volunteers must be 16 years of age or older) as well as volunteers of other animal welfare organizations that wish to meet PASS and others to benefit animal welfare endeavors in our communities. Door prizes, surprises and fun for everyone.

SPAY DAY USA Pet Photo Contest - enter January 20th thru February 26th

Tuesday, February 23, 2010 is the
16th Annual SPAY DAY USA
Join PASS in helping to save lives. Improve pet health and behavior, save money (for yourself and your community) and help end the tragedy of pet homelessness which results in the euthanasia of millions of animals each year.
An exciting way to show your support is to enter the Humane Society's Pet Photo Contest. Upload your favorite photo of your animal friend and let them know how your pet has benefited your life. Then, ask your friends and family to vote for your entry. You'll get a chance to win fabulous prizes and help spread the spay/neuter message!
Beginning January 20th, you can enter photos of your pets in the Spay Day 2010 Online Pet Photo Contest. Each vote costs $1, and the minimum number of votes that can be purchased is five. When you upload your photo, you can choose Parsippany Animal Supporters Society (PASS) as we are participating in Spay Day and we will receive your photo's vote money. Your donation will make it possible for even more animals to be spayed or neutered. Click here to enter.
The last day to enter a photo in the contest is February 26th, and the last day to vote for a photo is March 4th.

Spay Day is The Humane Society of the United States' and Humane Society International's annual event to inspire people to save animals' lives by spaying or neutering pets and feral cats. Spay Day officially takes place on the last Tuesday of February - but events will be running all through the month!

4th Annual "SPAY-ghetti Dinner" - Wednesday - April 21st ~ Lunch & Dinner

Join PASS on Wednesday, April 21st to help raise funds to spay and neuter homeless animals in our community. We'll be hosting a SPAY-ghetti Dinner at Valentino's Pizzeria and Restaurant, located at 7 North Beverwyck Road in Lake Hiawatha. PASS Board members will be dining - come and meet us.
Choose anything from Valentino's extensive menu that features delicious sandwiches, and of course pizza, to a complete entrée including salad and garlic bread. Bring along your favorite wine or beer to enjoy with your dinner. On the go and can't stop by for dinner, then drop in for lunch - same menu, same selection and the same benefits to PASS.
Valentino's will donate a percentage of your bill to PASS - but only if you tell your waiter/waitress that you are participating in PASS's fundraising event. If possible, print and bring along a copy of this announcement.

Enjoy an afternoon with your family and dog. We will take your dog's paw print on a ceramic tile with a non-toxic, water based paint and you'll have a permanent keepsake of your furry friend. Then you can personalize it with your dog's name or whatever else you'd like.
Your tile will be glazed and fired and you'll be able to pick it up at a future date. You can also paint an animal bank, box, figurine or dog bowl.

A fast-paced and funny satire showing just how ridiculous a writer can make an actor appear, particularly when the actor is in no position to protest! Collaborators Turai and Mansky bring their young composer Albert on a surprise visit to an Italian castle. There they find Ilna, their prima donna and Albert's fiancee. When they overhear Ilona in an impassioned conversation with her leading man, Turai contrives to make it appear that the conversation was actually a rehearsal for a play!
So make it a night out, by having dinner at one of the local restaurants, then heading over to the Dover Little Theatre, Elliott Street, Dover. [click here for Directions] There will be Door Prize Baskets only for PASS ticket holders. Refreshments will be available for purchase.

There was once a tradition of welcoming Friday at the stroke of midnight on Thursdays with, what else, a party! But join PASS on this Special Wednesday and we can all party together at Friday's.
Plenty of great menu choices for you to choose from. Just hand your PASS coupon to your server and tell them you are participating in the PASS event and they will donate a portion of your qualified purchase (excluding alcoholic beverages) to us.
